Loading ...why haven’t i met his parents?
i’ve been dating someone for 10 months now. our parents both live in the same area. he has met my entire family and i have yet to meet his. he is 32..what’s the deal.he said he’s not ready..we are now having a long distance relationship its been 5 months we see each other every other weekend. is this going anywhere? i feel like if i met his parents then i would feel more secure about us moving forward.

Why is it that some parents are so cool and let you do whatever you want and other times parents are so controlling and won’t let you do anything even though you know they have done it themselves before.

I am intending this question for anyone who was raised with one particular religious faith and still maintains the same faith.
Example of what I am talking about:
If I was born in America to Christian parents if I remain religious I will usually remain a Christian. If I am born in America to Buddhist parents if I remain religious I will usually remain Buddhist. Is that because we have a natural desire to follow our parents traditions? Do we belive it to actually be true or has it been taught to us for so long by people that we love and trust that makes us believe that it is true.

I really would like to have a major in Graphic Design or Music, but I don’t know how to break this to my parents, as they want me to go with a science or medicine major. This is hard, because my dad is a doctor, and everybody expects me to go into “smart” subjects like that. It’s not like I’m bad at those subjects…not at all. It’s just that I don’t enjoy these subjects, and would rather go into the arts. Is this a bad thing?
